i have started to try to do this, seemed like a basic starting point, but i notice that

// "vtk" writes out parallel unstructured vtk format
// which Paraview can read

but that the tutorial here; http://www.cs.unc.edu/~taylorr/Comp715/ ... orial.html

implies the need for "structured" data, ie in a form freecfd doesn't produce in the vtk format?

can anyone confirm this so i don't waste time on it?

have now made streamlines in paraview,

the trick is to use the filter: "cell data to point data", applied to the imported freecfd vtk data, then the stream tracer can be applied, and i then added a glyph ( arrows ) to the lines.
