Data aspect ratio issue

Postby danisssy on Wed May 12, 2010 6:57 pm

When I load in a data file, I get the message:

"Aspect ratio exceeds ratio limit. The ratio has been adjusted"

I've had someone show me the steps to solve this, but I can't exactly remember them all, so I was wondering if someone here could help me. Here is what I remember:

1. Plot --> Axis: to change the size factors. Initially, they are X: 1, Y:1, Z: 35.0392296453. If I change Z to 1, I get the above message again, and it Z changes to 2.80594431594.

2. I then go to Data --> Create Zone --> Duplicate and create two more zones (which I think i think based on the number 2.80594... above). My memory gets a bit hazy at this point, but I think everything up to this point is correct

3. I think at this point I need to specify the coordinates where the new zones begin, but I can't remember how to do that - can someone help?

I hope the above makes sense, I'm quite new to tecplot! Thanks.
